Scribbles for Today
In my minds eye
I picture a scene
A vision of something
Or somewhere I've been
Slowly the shapes
Fall naturally into place
Colours now appearing
With delicate grace
A house by the seaside
In bright shades of blue
Mingling together
With a slight purple hue
A grey crooked roof
Wrinkled and worn
Shabby net curtains
Moth eaten and torn
A once pretty balcony
In need of repair
Some love and attention
Does anyone care?
The sounds of the ocean
Waves crashing to the shore
As I concentrate deeply
And yearn to see more
Crimson Skies in the morning
Rain on its way
It matters not to me
For I want to stay
Reeds bowing gently
Kissed by the breeze
Up ahead in the distance
I can just make out trees
A fisherman's hideout
Is what I can see
Bursting with character
And a certain beauty
Not sure if I've been there
Or whether its a dream
But.. its a vision of something
Or somewhere I've been.
